Who this is for. AR and cash-application staff who review dismissed documents, recover one, or delete one. Only the SuperAdmin role can view this list and use its actions. See Roles and Access.
Availability. The Documents tab appears when AR Remittances is enabled for your organization and turned on for the selected instance. You choose the instance in the ERP: picker. You can turn on AR Remittances only on an instance whose system of record (SoR) is Workday.
Overview
Dismissed Documents holds the documents taken out of processing. A dismissed document keeps its values, its status, and its history. You can read it, move it back to Active Data, or purge it.
The list opens sorted by Dismissed Date, newest first. The Status column still shows a processing status, such as New or Failed to Reconcile. A document classified as Others can show Record is not a Customer Remittance.
A dismissed document is read-only. Its page offers no Edit, Write to SoR, or Dismiss. To correct a document, move it back to Active Data first. It returns with the status Moved to Active Data.

Columns
The list shows the default columns of Active Data, described in Active Data Tab. It adds the three columns in Table 1, and each row keeps its Action button.
Table 1. Columns that only Dismissed Documents has
| Column | Holds |
|---|---|
| Dismissed Reason | The reason entered when the document was dismissed. The reason is optional in every dismiss dialog, so some rows show none. |
| Dismissed By | The user who dismissed the document. |
| Dismissed Date | The date of the dismissal. |
Edit Columns locks Dismissed Reason and Dismissed By. It also lists a locked Tags entry, but the list shows no Tags column. Dismissed Date is optional and shows by default.
The dates in the list and in the date filters follow the Date Format set for the instance. See Settings.
Routes into this list
A document reaches this list in one of the following ways. Each way starts from a document in Active Data.
Table 2. Routes into Dismissed Documents
| Route | Where you start it | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Dismiss | The row Action menu, the toolbar Action menu, or the document page | The document moves here with the reason you enter in Reason to Dismiss. The box shows only when your organization has it turned on. Otherwise, the dialog only asks you to confirm. |
| Not a Payment | The document page | The classification changes to Others. The document moves here with the reason you enter in Reason to Dismiss. The box shows only when your organization has it turned on. Reason to Dismiss is optional. The dialog's Dismiss button works while the box is empty. |
| Dismiss in an email's document list | The Mailbox. See Mailbox. | It opens the same dialog as on the Documents tab, and moves the document here. The Reason to Dismiss box shows only when your organization has it turned on, and the reason is optional. |
If a document you expect is not in the list, see the causes in Active Data Tab.
Actions on a dismissed document
This list replaces Dismiss and Write to SoR with two other actions. Both appear in the toolbar Action menu, in the row Action menu, and on the document page.
Table 3. What each dismissed-document action does
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Move to Active Data | Returns the document to Active Data, the working list. From either Action menu, it moves the document at once, with no confirmation dialog. The document gets the status Moved to Active Data, whatever its classification. |
| Purge | Deletes the document from the system, after a confirmation. |
The steps below use the toolbar Action menu. To begin, open Documents, then the Dismissed Documents sub-tab.
