Browse and Filter the Metric Catalog

Who this is for. Analysts and finance leads. Access. Included for everyone at an organization whose subscription covers SmartResearch, whatever their role. No permission needs to be assigned. See the Roles and Access Reference.

This article covers the toolbar, searching and filtering, and the two views. For what an individual metric card shows and the actions on it, see Metrics Studio Catalog.

The metric catalog on the Metrics Studio home page lists every metric available to SmartResearch. It opens in grid view, and you switch to list view to scan many metrics at once. Anyone looking up a definition uses this page, and metric owners use it to review which definitions still need validation.

Check the catalog before you rely on a metric, when a number is disputed, or when you review validation coverage across your organization. The formula holds the period, the calculation basis, and the currency treatment, and most disputed numbers are explained by one of those three. Use the search box and the filters to narrow the catalog by name, category, or validation status, then open a metric with Validate & Edit to see its full definition.
