Who this is for. Everyone.
SmartVendor is the console you work AP Helpdesk in. The agent runs whether or not anyone is looking at it; SmartVendor is where you see what it did, work what it could not finish, and read the records behind a question.
What you do here
Table 1. The AP Helpdesk areas of SmartVendor.
Area |
What it is for |
|---|---|
Dashboard |
What the agent has been doing: mailbox volume, detected intents, processing outcomes, and task metrics. |
Tasks |
The queue of work the agent could not finish on its own. |
Mailbox |
The correspondence itself, with the agent’s classification and labels against each message. |
Record tabs |
The vendor, bill, credit memo, purchase order, and payment records the agent answers from. |
Why the records sit alongside the mail
Most questions that reach the queue are answered by reading a record rather than by reading the message again. A vendor disputing a short payment is asking about a payment record; a vendor chasing an invoice is asking about a bill. The record tabs are in the same console so that answering does not mean leaving it.
The records are synced from your system of record. SmartVendor reads them and, where a document transfer is configured, sends invoices and credit memos onward to it. It is not a second place to maintain vendor master data.
What you see depends on your role
Two people can open the same screen and see different rows. An AP Helpdesk Analyst is returned only their own tasks and unassigned tasks, and areas a role cannot use are not shown at all rather than disabled. See Roles and Access.
