Who this is for. Super Admins, who can add, change and remove these settings. AP Helpdesk Managers, Specialists and Analysts cannot open AP Intelligence. Two things are needed: the Super Admin role, and AP Intelligence enabled for the tenant you are working in. Neither on its own is enough. See the Roles and Access.
Settings holds the per-agent settings that decide what an Agent Co-worker does unattended. The autonomy level sets the ceiling; what you configure here decides, case by case, what actually reaches it.
Figure 1. The SmartVendor menu open beside AP Intelligence, which opens on Rulebook.
The settings are reached from SmartVendor Settings and apply to the selected agent instance. The Rulebook and Email Categories articles cover those two sub-tabs; the five that follow are the panels on the Settings sub-tab.
Open AP Intelligence
In the navigation rail, point to SmartVendor and select Settings from the menu that opens.
-
AP Intelligence opens on Rulebook, headed Rulebook Management. Rulebook and Settings are the entries in the left rail, not tabs across the top. Email categories are configured from the Email Categories capability section in the Agent Co-worker wizard.
Everything here applies to the agent named in the header, and to that agent alone.
This is not the setup wizard. The wizard defines what an agent is: its name, connection, mailbox and functions. Settings tunes how that agent thinks. A behavior you cannot explain from one is often set in the other.
Analysts see the entry but cannot open it. Settings appears in the SmartVendor menu for an AP Helpdesk Analyst, but selecting it returns them to the home page, because the surface itself is not available to that role. Settings therefore opens nothing for an Analyst.
What the entries hold
These entries sit under AP Intelligence, which an agent shows when it runs AP Helpdesk. Rulebook decides what the agent should do and which mail it applies to. Settings holds five cards, including the switches that decide whether the agent may act without a person.
Settings here is not the SmartVendor Settings page you arrived from. Selecting it opens one page carrying five collapsible cards: AI Pipeline Settings, System Sender Management, Internal Contact Management, Email Templates and Email Archiving. Only the first is open when you arrive, so scroll and expand rather than looking for further navigation.
If the page is empty
A blank page, or one reading No settings available, almost always means the wrong tenant is selected rather than a missing permission. These settings are tenant scoped. Switch tenant in the header and reload before raising an access request.
Which tabs you see
The tabs depend on what the agent does, so two agents in the same tenant can show different ones.
