Who this is for. AP Helpdesk Analysts, Specialists and Managers, and ProcureToPay Managers and Agents. Every AP role opens the console; the tab bar differs, and Documents appears only for the ProcureToPay roles.
Access. Available to every AP role. See the Roles and Access.
SmartVendor is the workspace where an AP Helpdesk Agent Co-worker’s work becomes visible: the mail it received, the tasks it raised, the drafts it wrote, and the vendor and finance records it read while doing so. Everything on these screens belongs to one agent at a time.
Figure 1. The SmartVendor console, showing the agent selector, the tab bar, and the Dashboard.
Open SmartVendor
In the left navigation rail, select SmartVendor.
The console opens on the Dashboard tab.
The header
Tenant name: top right, next to your account avatar.
Agent selector: the chip below the product name shows the current agent and its run state, for example AP Helpdesk Agent Active. Every tab reads from the selected agent.
Which tabs appear
The console defines thirteen entries and shows the ones your tenant, source system and role allow, so two people can meet different tab bars. Table 1 covers the whole bar: the eleven that appear as text tabs, and the two that appear as icons at the right-hand end, with a tooltip in place of a text label. Email Inbox is never drawn as a text tab: it is the surface the Mailbox icon opens.

Lists open records
Every row in every list tab opens a record page, and each record page carries tabs to the records related to it: a bill links to its vendor, its purchase orders, its payments, and the vendor’s email.
You can therefore start from a task, open the bill it concerns, and reach the vendor’s correspondence without going back to a search box.
What the rail offers under SmartVendor
Each entry opens a different surface, so choose by the task in front of you.

AP Helpdesk |

AP Invoices |
The AP Invoices work surface. |

Settings |
Configuration for the selected agent. What it holds follows the agent’s functions: an AP Helpdesk agent shows the AP Intelligence settings, Rulebook and Email Categories; an AP Invoices agent shows Business Rules. |
Change how the agent behaves. |
The two work-surface entries follow the agent’s functions. An agent that runs only AP Invoices shows SmartVendor and Settings; the AP Helpdesk and AP Invoices entries appear only when the agent runs that function.
Which of these appear depends on the permissions on your role and on the features enabled for your tenant, so two people in the same tenant can see different entries.
