Enable the Auto-numbering of Attachments for W-9 Data Refresh Upload

When using the W-9 Data Refresh upload feature with Sage Intacct, first verify that the auto-numbering of document IDs for attachments is enabled. The following steps are for a user with Admin privileges.

  1. Log in to Sage Intacct as an Admin user.
  2. Go to Company > Setup > Configuration - Company.
  3. Scroll down to the Attachment sequence type. If there is a value listed for Attachment sequence type, you already have the autonumbering of document IDs enabled.
    If it is empty, we recommend that you enable autonumbering, as follows:

  4. Go to Company > Setup > Settings - Document Numbering.
  5. Find Attachment in the list and click Edit.
  6. In the Document Sequence Information page, select the Attachment Sequence type.

    If the Attachment Sequence type is empty, or if you need to define a new sequence type, complete the following steps:

  7. Go to Company > Setup > Configuration - Company.
  8. Click Edit (top right button).
  9. Scroll down to the Attachment sequence type field.
  10. Select the Attachment sequence type from the pulldown menu.
