Overview

At the top of the Entities table in SmartGL \ AP Accruals, the toolbar provides quick access to tools for searching entity records and filtering the list by column values.

The Entities toolbar includes:

  • Search
  • Filter

These tools help you quickly locate and narrow down entity records on the Entities page.

1. Search

Use the Search field in the toolbar to quickly find entity records by text value.

You can search using values that appear in the Entities list, such as:

  • ID
  • Name
  • Other visible text in the row

To search for entities:

  1. Click in the Search field in the toolbar.
  2. Enter a full or partial value.
  3. The Entities list updates to show matching records.
  4. To return to the full list, clear the search text.

Tip: Partial text works well for broader searches. For example, you can enter part of an entity ID or part of an entity name.

2. Filter

Use the Filter control to refine the Entities table by column values.

On the Entities page, clicking the Filter icon displays an inline filter row beneath the column headers. From there, you can enter filter criteria for one or more columns.

To filter entity records:

  1. Click the Filter icon in the toolbar.
  2. In the filter row that appears below the column headers, choose the appropriate operator for a column.
  3. Enter or select the filter value.
  4. Repeat for additional columns if needed.
  5. Review the updated Entities list.
