Overview
Use the toolbar at the top‑right of the Disputes page in AR Remittances (SmartCustomer) to search, refine, configure, export, and change the currency view for dispute‑related invoice records.
The toolbar includes:
Search Disputes
Filter Dispute Records
Customize Table Columns
Export Disputes
Currency Toggle (Base vs Foreign)

1. Search Disputes
Use the search box to quickly locate disputed invoices.
How to search:
Go to the Disputes page in AR Remittances.
Click in the Search field on the toolbar.
Type a value such as:
Invoice Number
Customer Name
The list updates to show only disputed invoices that match your search term.
Clear the search text to return to the full (unfiltered) disputes list.

2. Filter Dispute Records
Use Filters to display only the disputes that meet certain criteria (for example, high disputed amounts or disputes for a specific customer or entity).
How to filter disputes:
On the Disputes page, click the Filter (funnel) icon on the toolbar.
In the filter panel, choose a Column (for example, Invoice Number, Customer Name, Entity, Invoice Status, Age (Days), Invoice Amount, Amount Remaining, Disputed Amount, Dispute Date, Invoice Date).
Select an Operator such as:
containsequalsgreater thanless than or equalbeforeafter
Enter the Value for the filter.
Apply the filters to update the Disputes list.
Remove individual filter rows or use Clear Filters (if available) to reset the view.

3. Customize Table Columns
Use Edit Columns to control which dispute‑related fields appear in the table and in what order.
How to customize columns:
On the Disputes page, click the Edit Columns (column) icon on the toolbar.
In the Edit Columns panel:
Select checkboxes for columns you want to show.
Clear checkboxes for columns you want to hide.
If supported, drag and drop columns within the panel to change their order.
Apply your changes to refresh the Disputes table.
Use Restore Default (if available) to return to the standard column layout.

4. Export Disputes
Use Export to download dispute data for offline analysis, sharing, or escalation tracking.
How to export disputes:
On the Disputes page, apply any search and filter criteria you need.
Click the Export (download) icon on the toolbar.
Confirm the export (typically CSV).
Save the exported file to your computer.
The export generally includes the dispute records visible in your current (filtered) view and respects your active column configuration.
5. Currency Toggle (Base vs Foreign)
Use the Currency toggle to control how monetary values are displayed on the Disputes page.
How to use the currency toggle:
On the Disputes toolbar, locate the Currency control with Base and Foreign options.
Click Base to show monetary fields (for example, Invoice Amount, Amount Remaining, Disputed Amount) in your organization’s base currency.
Click Foreign to show the same fields in the invoice’s original transaction currency.
The selection applies to all monetary columns in the Disputes list.

Tip: Use Base for consolidated reporting across entities, and Foreign when comparing disputed amounts directly to original invoices or external documents in their transaction currency.
