What Are Accrual Groups
Accrual Groups are a core organizational feature within Auditoria’s AP Accruals process. They allow finance teams to logically group vendors or transactions for streamlined management, review, and reporting of accruals. By structuring vendors and accrual records into managed groups, organizations can segment responsibilities, ensure accurate review, and track all actions for audit compliance.
Key Points
- Structure: Each Accrual Group includes:
- A unique name
- An assigned owner (must be a GL Agent, GL Manager, or GL Approver)
- A designated credit account
- A set of assigned vendors
- Assignment rules: Vendors can only belong to one accrual group at a time. Group names must be unique within a data source.
- Segregation of Duties: Accrual Groups make it easy to manage review and approval tasks by process owner, business unit, or geography, supporting clear lines of responsibility.
- Management Location: All Accrual Groups are managed and viewed in the Accrual Groups section of the Data Management page, where users can add, edit, or remove groups and assign vendors.
- Benefits:
- Improved operational efficiency
- Better auditability (strict role-based assignments and history)
- Clear ownership—enabling scalable, compliant accrual management across complex organizations

Accrual Groups Page Features
The Accrual Groups page presents a summary table of all available groups, each defined by its unique name, assigned owner, credit account, and the total number of vendors assigned. You can search, add new groups, edit group assignments, or delete existing groups from this interface.
