AP/AR Helpdesk: Email Draft Auto-Save
Now, when you are composing a reply in Task Details or the HD Mailbox, your email drafts are saved automatically as you type. Drafts will persist until they are either sent or manually discarded, ensuring your work is never lost—even if you navigate away before sending.
Drafts can be conveniently accessed in the Helpdesk Mailbox via the new "Drafts" section, located below Inbox and Sent.
What’s New
Automatic Draft Saving
- Auto-Save as You Type: Reply drafts are automatically saved as you compose them in Task Details and HD Mailbox—no more worrying about losing your progress when leaving the page.
- SmartBot Integration: SmartBot reply draft edits persist after clicking "Save".
- Drafts Persist Until Sent/Discarded: Saved drafts are retained until the user sends or discards them.
Enhanced Visibility & Control
- Visual Draft Indicator: The inbox view includes an indicator for threads with unsent drafts.
- Easy Draft Access: All saved drafts are visible in the new “Drafts” folder for quick access.
- Draft Management: Users can delete or discard drafts at any time using a “Discard” action.
- Automatic Transition to Drafts: Messages are treated as drafts as soon as inputs are detected.
Seamless User Experience
- Quick Access: Access the “Drafts” section to review, edit, or manage any unsent messages.
- Thread Awareness: Email threads with associated drafts are easy to identify and open directly from the Drafts folder.
How It Works
- Begin composing a reply or new message in HD Mailbox or Task Details.
- Your message is auto-saved as you type, or you can click "Save Draft" to save manually.
- Unsent drafts appear in the "Drafts" section in the left navigation panel.
- Select any draft to continue editing or to discard.
- Sending a draft removes it from the folder.
- Visual cues help you identify messages with unsent drafts in your inbox.
Note:
- Only human-created drafts are included at this time; SmartBot/AI bot drafts are not shown in this release.
- The draft count appears next to the Drafts folder, similar to other email platforms, showing your total number of active drafts.
- Mass delete/select for drafts is not currently included; individual delete/discard is supported.
2. Fixed Bugs
AP Invoices: Incorrect “Written Date” on Written to SoR Tab — Fixed
Symptom: The “Written Date” field in the Written to SoR summary tab previously displayed an incorrect date, sometimes appearing a day ahead of the actual date due to time zone differences.
Impact: This caused data discrepancies in the written date shown across screens, reports, invoice documents, and filters.
Workaround: There was no workaround available prior to the fix. Users were advised to verify invoice dates as needed across different screens and reports. With the issue now resolved, the "Written Date" field displays the correct date consistently based on your local time zone.
